A Richmond native, Dr. Armstrong is a graduate of Princeton University and Duke University Medical School. He completed his residency and fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and began private practice in 1995. His special skills include facial plastic surgery, innovative techniques in sinus surgery and reconstruction of cancer defects of the nose and face. A licensed hearing instrument specialist, Dr. Armstrong is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy and the past chief of staff of the Stony Point Surgery Center. In his vacation time, he has traveled to Kijabe, Kenya and Bolivia to repair cleft lips, cleft palates and congenital ear deformities.
