Hearing loss is a medical condition and, in some cases, can be treated without hearing aids. That’s why it’s important to have a medical exam before you purchase hearing aids. As hearing specialists, we evaluate, diagnose and treat all causes of hearing loss, which may include fluid, infection, earwax buildup or physical deformities. We also diagnose and treat associated conditions, such as vertigo or tinnitus. If you require medication or surgery, our ENT physicians specialize in surgical care of the ears and will discuss all of your treatment options with you. Although hearing aids are not usually covered by insurance, a medical exam for hearing loss typically is, so don’t hesitate to schedule an appointment.

Hearing Aid Evaluations

During your appointment, we assess the types, causes and levels of hearing loss and determine your individual hearing needs. We will also discuss hearing technology with you and make recommendations for the hearing instruments that fit your lifestyle and budget. We offer a wide variety of hearing aid styles and offer products from the top hearing aid manufacturers. If necessary for the style of hearing aids you choose, we will make an impression of your ear canal to ensure a custom fit. If we discover a hearing-related medical condition during the evaluation, you can usually be seen by one of our ENT physicians the same day.

Hearing Aid Fittings

When you receive your hearing aids, we’ll make sure they fit comfortably and perform properly. After programming them to suit your hearing needs, we’ll help you learn how to use and take care of your hearing instruments. All of our hearing aids include a three-year manufacturer’s warranty, and we also provide three years of follow-up care and maintenance, including batteries. Although most insurance companies do not cover hearing aids, we offer financing options to work within your budget.
